MONTKYO is a small independent brand founded and designed by Swiss-Japanese designer Miwa Meusburger. Its illustrated silk scarves bring together two cultures that share a deep appreciation for quiet intention and beauty in detail.

Miwa grew up in Madrid, Switzerland, and Austria and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Media Design. Her work is inspired by botanical illustration and the emotional power of color.

Founded in 2026, MONTKYO transforms her illustrations into wearable pieces. Each design begins with a pencil sketch and evolves through a combination of traditional and digital techniques, including watercolor, hand-drawn elements, and digital refinement. Every piece is shaped by observation, experimentation, and time — never generated with AI.

Printed in Italy on high-quality silk, MONTKYO scarves are produced in limited quantities, with an emphasis on thoughtful design and lasting quality.
