About

MONTKYO creates illustrated scarves by Swiss-Japanese designer Miwa Meusburger, inspired by two cultures that share a deep appreciation for quiet intention and beauty in detail. Based in North Carolina since 2025, Miwa draws much of her inspiration from botanical art and the emotional power of color.

Founded in 2026, MONTKYO brings art and fashion together through wearable pieces that celebrate individuality, confidence, and joy.

Each design begins with a pencil sketch and is illustrated by hand using traditional and digital techniques. Some evolve through watercolor and hand-drawn elements, while others are refined digitally throughout the process. Every piece is shaped by observation, experimentation, and time — never generated with AI.

Printed in Italy on high-quality fabrics in small, MONTKYO scarves are produced in small quantities to preserve rarity and craftsmanship.
